The tip of the nail is the most fragile, most unprotected part and breaks easily. It frequently needs to be strengthened.

Mavala was the first to produce a penetrating nail hardener that actually hardens nails immediately and helps prevent splitting of flaking.  Formulated in 1958, Mavala Scientifique is absorbed into the nail tip to harden and strengthen it.

• Brush Mavala Scientifique very sparingly from the center of the nail to the tip. Hold hands downward for about one minute and allow to penetrate.
• Use once or, if nails are very soft, twice a week. Once nails are hard, apply no more than two or three times a month or they will become brittle and break off.
• Mavala Scientifique may have a hardening action on the skin. If over-generous application runs onto skin or cuticles, wipe off immediately with damp cotton wool.
